Dan Egan, author of The Death and Life of the Great Lakes, a reporter at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and Water Policy Analyst at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, made an appearance on the popular late night show The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. He has been reporting on the Great Lakes since 2003 and has been a finalist (twice) for the Pulitzer Prize.
In this humorous clip, Egan sits down with Daily Show correspondent Michael Kosta for an…interesting…look at what should be done to incite more care and interest with the health and restoration of the Great Lakes. The back and forth between Kosta and Egan highlight the struggle to explain the importance of these lakes, what is happening to them, and why we need to pay more attention to their health. So have a laugh while watching the cringe worthy interview but also don’t forget to take note of the important points Egan brings up.
